Bruker BioSpin introduces a new 10mm Dual NMR CryoProbe that delivers the highest Carbon-13 NMR sensitivity available to date
The large sample volume and extended temperature range - from 0C up to 130C - make it an ideal tool for polymer research.
The high temperature range of the probe enables measurements of polymer melts and solutions.
CryoProbes enable experiments to be completed up to 16 times faster as a result of the 300% to 400% improvement in signal-to-noise ratio as compared to non-cryogenically cooled probes.
Samples may also be measured at lower concentrations.
Previously only available for 5 mm sample tubes, the new 10mm CryoProbe allows samples that are viscous to be placed in 10mm sample tubes for NMR analysis.
The high sensitivity of the CryoProbe allows polymer analysis in a fraction of the time.
The 10mm CryoProbe is available for Bruker BioSpin 500 and 600MHz standard bore systems.
"This CryoProbe should lead to significant new developments in polymer analysis with NMR," commented Kim Colson, CryoProbe product manager for Bruker BioSpin.
"It enables polymer scientists to expand their studies of polymer characteristics, such as end groups tacticity, branching and more, with the increased sensitivity revealing information previously not accessible due to limits in dynamic range"
