ADMET has developed and is marketing a universal testing machine (UTM) with an extremely fast actuator that accurately and reliably tests products at rates of up to 180inches per minute
The single-column machine, called the Admet Expert 5601QP, accepts standard fixturing and has a load capacity of 500N (100lb).
Many specialized applications, especially product testing, require faster than typical 25inch per minute speeds for tensile, bend and torsion testing.
For instance, one Admet client is using the 5601QP to measure the adhesion of healthcare-related products through simulated peel tests.
The Expert 5601QP is equipped with Admet's eP digital controller which accurately controls crosshead rates, and calculates peak load, peak stress, average load, minimum load, as well as deflection and stiffness values.
Up to 200 test results can be stored in the controller and/or exported to a Windows-based computer via the RS232 port.
