Ametek Calibration Instruments has announced that its range of Jofra ATC dry-block temperature calibrators covering the temperature range from -90C to 650C, now offers improved accuracy and stability
Accuracies for both A and B models across the range using the built- in internal reference sensor have been improved.
Specifications for individual models can be found online, but as an example, the accuracy for the ATC-156 has improved from + 0.19C to + 0.1C.
For ATC B models accuracies down to +/-0.04C is obtainable, when using the reference input.
Temperature stability has also been improved on the ATC-156, ATC-157, ATC-320 and ATC-650 models and is now guaranteed for a full twelve- month period, for customer peace of mind.
For most models the stability has been improved from +0.02C to +0.01C.
The units also feature a temperature stability countdown timer which starts five minutes before the stability indicator comes on.
This helps the user to know when to take readings from the sensor-under-test.
Jofra ATC dry-block calibrators are characterised by the unique dual zone heating technology for exceptional temperature homogeneity.
All Jofra dry block calibrators are supplied with Jofracal temperature calibration software, which features comprehensive documenting software to allow the creation of complete calibration work orders, which can be downloaded to the ATC series.
These can then be run on site with no need for a computer, and the results uploaded at a later date.
A complete database and certificate printout capability facilitates paperwork generation, even providing for local language translation on certificate printouts.
B versions of models in the ATC range feature comprehensive sensor-under-test inputs.
These include inputs for testing thermo switches, 4-20 mA transmitters, thermocouples (including cold junction compensation) and multiple types of RTD including Pt100.
An external reference probe input allows the probe to be positioned next to the sensor-under-test within the insert.
