EuroSciCon has produced a book of proceedings for its recent 'NO news is good news - detection, measurements and quantification of nitric oxide: tools for NO research' meeting
The meeting, held on 23 March 2007, featured talks by high profile speakers and interesting discussions.
These included 'Radiochemical HPLC measurement of nitric oxide synthesis (NOS) activity in vascular tissue', Nicholas Warrick, meeting's chair (University of Oxford), 'Fluorescence based methods for the measurement of intracellular nitric oxide', David Russell (University of East Anglia, UK), 'EPR-based measurement of reactive nitrogen intermediates in human inflammatory diseases', Paul Winyard (Peninsula Medical School, Universities of Exeter and Plymouth, UK), 'Nitric Oxide Synthase Inhibition and Renal Injury', Prof Sharma Prabhakar (Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Lubbock, TX, USA), 'Quantification of Blood and Tissue NO Metabolites by Gas Phase Chemiluminescence: A Guide to NO Man's Land' Alexandra Milsom (Wales Heart Research Institute, University of Cardiff, UK), 'Nitric Oxide Sensors and Their Biomedical Applications' Xueji Zhang (World Precision Instruments, Sarasota, Florida, USA) and 'Understanding nitric oxide synthase inhibition: potency, selectivity and implications for their pharmacology', Alan Wallace (AstraZeneca, UK).
