At Chinaplas 2007 in Guangzhou (May 21-May 24), Zwick presents its new, award winning pendulum impact tester Hit 5.5P among other solutions for the plastic and rubber industry
The development of the new tester resulted in the Materialica Design Award for Zwick and features a revolutionary new dual carbon rod pendulum.
This has resulted in a product with much higher stiffness and accuracy than traditional systems.
Through the reduction of internal mechanical vibrations, virtually all of the kinetic energy in the swinging pendulum is transmitted to the specimen at the point of impact, providing more dependable and stable results.
Available in 3 models with maximum impact energies of 5.5 Joules, 25 Joules and 50 Joules, the Hit pendulum impact testers also reduce the likelihood of errors when changing pendulums.
They have an integrated pendulum recognition system which guarantees that no two pendulum sizes or standards will be confused with one another, making test results traceable, reliable and repeatable.
Furthermore, Zwick exhibits a 10kN ProLine testing machine equipped with the ProLine longstroke extensometer.
This extensometer can be used for direct elongation measurements on materials such as rubber, plastic, textiles, etc.
and accurately determines yield strains and extension at break in tensile tests.
It offers a resolution of 10um over the entire measurement range, and its simple, secure and quick operation is guaranteed due to self identifying 'smart' system components.
To complement its range of products for the plastics industry, Zwick also manufactures many other instruments.
These include the recently introduced HDT/Vicat testers, melt-flow plastometers, as well as a wide range of temperature chambers, hardness testers and many other instruments.
Zwick covers the full range of solutions for the plastic and rubber industry.
Testing software is now an integral part of the testing system in today's highly networked environments.
As with most other Zwick products, the market leading testing software Testxpert II is totally integrated with both machines.
Test results are automatically captured, statistically evaluated, presented as graphics or tables and transferred to other computer systems or application programmes.
