GRI is to promote the established CodeLink gene expression bioarray system for human, mouse and rat whole genomes in the UK and France
GRI, an independent supplier of molecular biology solutions, has made a distribution agreement for the CodeLink Gene Expression Bioarray System from Applied Microarrays.
CodeLink is an integrated platform that includes a range of high-quality, pre-arrayed oligonucleotide bioarrays, target preparation and bioarray processing reagents, easy-to-use processing tools, software, and optimised protocols for human, mouse and rat whole genomes.
In addition, customer-defined content can be arrayed in multi-array formats to support targeted research.
CodeLink gene expression bioarrays demonstrate superior results with sensitivity down to less than one transcript per cell enables detection of more low abundance genes.
Specificity of up to 90% probe-to-target sequence identity leads to high levels of discrimination between homologous genes; A dynamic range greater than three orders of magnitude along with greater than 98% of probes within two-fold detectable change results in more usable data per array and with array signal reproducibility having observed CVs of <10% ensure minimal technical variation and enhanced discriminatory power.
"We are excited to be working with Applied Microarrays and believe that this is a great opportunity to bring the much utilised Codelink System back to our customers" stated Simon Nicklin, GRI's managing director.
Alastair Malcolm, Applied Microarray's CEO, followed: "We are in business for CodeLink and the existing gene expression catalogue products of human, mouse, and rat genomes.
"We are supporting these product lines and taking them forward.
"GRI is the ideal partner for us, its range of complementary microarray products is a perfect fit for the promotion of the Codelink systems".
The CodeLink gene expression bioarray system is available immediately from GRI UK and GRI France.
