The Smart Diluter is the new gravimetric diluter from IUL instruments, supported and supplied by distributor QM Solutions
The Smart Diluter can accurately dilute any sample to any ratio that has the numerator and denominator in the range 1 to 999.
It can have one, two or even six pumps to add different solvents to the same sample or dilute at a quicker rate.
The smart diluter saves time with high accuracy.
A dilution run is broken down into two parts, the faster pumping stage to close to the end point, a continuous and high flow until the end point is almost reached, then the slower approach to the end point which is controlled and accurate.
The two pump instrument can use both pumps during the fast stage to save even more time.
The tubing set and bottles are fully autoclavable to ensure the dilution process is fully sterile.
Changing the tubing set is quick and easy, it can be done within 15 seconds, the arm of the instrument can be set to work with different containers, bags, big and small bottles etc.
The controls are simple and easy to understand using a touch screen in the base of the unit, the screen continuously updates its information to allow the operator to monitor the dilution process.
An optional accessory allows the diluter to work with 6 pumps which allows the dilution with 6 different solvents.
A bar-code reader can be attached to the instrument to allow the traceability of the samples, labels can give sample ID, operator ID and solvent ID.
