AlphaScreen is a highly sensitive amplified luminescent proximity homogeneous assay that screens for a broad range of targets and requires a large measurement bandwidth
BioTek Instruments offers two lower-cost microplate reader alternatives to researchers using the AlphaScreen assay platform.
The superior optical design of both Synergy 2 and Synergy 4 multi-mode microplate readers allows for large measurement bandwidths with low levels of signal for highly accurate results.
"Synergy multi-mode microplate readers offer researchers a lower-cost alternative to costly high-end HTS readers while providing the same high levels of quality and performance," noted Xavier Amouretti, BioTek product manager.
"Compatibility with the AlphaScreen assay platform is just one example of how we deliver powerful yet cost-effective solutions for users".
Synergy 2 uses a combination of detection modes for high-performance in fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarisation, time-resolved fluorescence, luminescence and UV-visible absorbance.
The patent-pending Synergy 4, hybrid microplate reader, is the first multi-mode reader to combine filter-based and quadruple monochromator-based fluorescence detection technology to perform an endless number of current and future microplate-based assays.
Synergy 4 also includes fluorescence intensity, luminescence, fluorescence polarisation, time-resolved fluorescence, and UV-visible absorbance.
