On 28 July 2008, Village Software announced that clients would be able to access its LabCom database via new web based functionality.
This new functionality was created to allow access to LabCom via internet browsing, giving laboratory clients the ability to view their data wherever they are and whenever they need to, only requiring access to the internet.
The drive behind creating this feature was to allow access to all laboratory customers without having to run the LabCom install on the PC, improving access to those clients with multiple PC's or those that use restricted systems.
