Polyscience has released the model 9712 low-temperature circulator, which provides temperature control for demanding external temperature applications.
The company said the 9712 features a -40C to 200C temperature range, +/- 0.01C temperature stability, and 13-litre reservoir and is ideal for controlling exothermic and endothermic reactions.
Typical applications include the control of jacketed reactor vessels and reaction blocks as well as polymerisation, polycondensation, and distillation.
The 9712's variable-speed pressure/suction pump can deliver pressure flow rates as high as 30 LPM.
Its programmable controller can store up to 10 different 50-step time/temperature programs, and also allows the operator to control temperature at the point of application, eliminating temperature shifts due to heat loss along tubing lines.
Other controller features include data logging capability, multi-language help menus, and a built-in RS232 interface.
Temperature, set point, and other pertinent operational information are displayed on a bright LCD readout.
