Atrium Research, a market research organisation dedicated to scientific informatics, has released the Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) Ehandbook.
Built from the content of the company's flagship examination of ELN - entitled 'Electronic Laboratory Notebooks: A Foundation for Scientific Knowledge Management' - this new single central-processing-unit (CPU) Ebook is claimed to provide an affordable alternative for those who do not require the portability of the multi-user PDF.
This Windows-executable program is suitable for anyone interested in ELN technology.
Containing more than 700 pages of content divided into 14 chapters, the ELN Ehandbook covers technology, best practices for vendor selection and implementation, legal and regulatory requirements, trends, market survey data and more than 200 pages of supplier product reviews.
Michael H Elliott, chief executive officer of Atrium Research and Consulting LLC, said: 'A segment of our clients requested a lower-cost research offering.
'With our support of a green environment, we felt an Ebook format was preferable to a printed bound book.
'However, we did not want to force our customers to purchase additional Ebook hardware.
'The compiled HTML of the ELN Ehandbook enables it to be read on any Windows XP or Vista computer,' he added.
