Dionex Corporation has introduced a number of capabilities for the AS-HV high-volume autosampler.
Vial racks have been added to increase sample vial capacity (up to 180) to offer greater flexibility and higher throughput.
The new vial racks allow the use of a wider range of vial sizes, thus reducing labour and eliminating errors and contamination, according to the company.
The ability to run IC samples directly from centrifuge tubes or Dionex automated solvent extraction (ASE) collection vials is now possible.
The range of volumes and vial types includes: 10ml, 15ml and 50ml centrifuge tubes; 26ml vials; 40ml and 60ml ASE collection vials; and 250ml bottles and tissue culture flasks.
The racks provide the additional benefit of allowing customers to use off-the-shelf vials and tubes that they are currently using in their laboratory, according to Dionex.
The vial racks are intended to benefit customers using ASE for the preparation of solid samples and customers preferring to use centrifuging as part of their sample preparation procedures.
The company manufactures liquid chromatography and extraction systems, consumables and software for chemical analysis.
Dionex systems are used in environmental analysis and by the life-sciences, chemical, petrochemical, food-and-beverage, power-generation and electronics industries.
