Ictasys has announced the release of the latest version of its Stockcheck inventory management software system.
Stockcheck is a CPA-compliant stock management solution specifically designed for pathology laboratories.
It features multi-size, multi-department support and can therefore hold all stock and inventory items across all the separate laboratories in pathology departments, both site- and trust-wide.
Ictasys said Stockcheck can save organisations money by encouraging good stock management processes including harmonisation of procedures across the entire trust.
Users can see when items expire at a glance, where they are, in which department, of which batch and therefore which items need using first.
The option to transfer stock around different sites means users no longer need to hold reserve stock at each site - managers can see what each site and laboratory holds, making over-ordering a thing of the past.
Electronic delivery notes can be imported; a delivery of 2,000 items typically takes around 5-10 seconds to import and each added item can then have its own label produced.
Using an item on the system is achieved simply by scanning the label's barcode.
All the associated information with that item is then displayed on the screen and the user then simply clicks 'use this item'.
The user's name and the date and time of use is logged automatically and the available inventory and its respective value recalculates in real time.
