If you are looking for an entry point into bioreactor technology and the use of fermentation then the Minifors from INFORS HT will give you just what you are looking for.
The Minifors provides the complete package, containing everything necessary to move on, in both control and capacity, from spinners and shake flasks.
Minifors is an excellent starting point for anyone requiring:
- an excellent introductory research bioreactor
- a bioreactor suitable for educational purposes
- a cost effective method of building larger scale industrial units
Minifors is available in both cell culture and bacterial versions and the emphasis is on ease of use and rapid set up.
Operators have full control over pH, feeding and sampling with software for data-logging straight from delivery on the bacterial option.
With a micro-processor-based, direct digital control (DDC) system, based on that used in the INFORS HT shakers, all the parameters necessary for a wide range of applications are available.
The use of a heating and cooling block in the base unit produces effective temperature control and helps address one of the main standard bench-scale bioreactor problems.
There are also removable, autoclavable pump heads (minimum of two, maximum of four) and an integral frame for carrying the vessel, and accessories, to and from the autoclave.
The base unit is compact, with all components integrated into a single housing and a top drive motor with mechanical slip rings seal that is located behind the vessel for easier access to the top plate.
The splash-proof operating panel, with icon information display, is also integrated into the base unit and this allows for easy setting of key parameter values such as the set points and the calibration and control options.
Options include: stirrer speed, temperature, pH (with CO2 valve on cell versions), pO2 (option on standard bacterial version), antifoam/level (option), oxygen supplementation (option) and feed option.
