Products range from optomechanical and motion control products to optoelectronics and lasers and enable low noise detection, highly stable measurements and precise positioning
New Focus, a division of Bookham, is unveiling what it says is a series of innovative, high quality products at the Photonics West tradeshow this week (January 2005).
The new products range from optomechanical and motion control products to optoelectronics and lasers and enable low noise detection, highly stable measurements and precise positioning.
All New Focus optomechanical products are now backed by the recently announced lifetime warranty. Bookham New Focus is also offering a three-year extended warranty on the new opto-electronics and all other New Focus receivers, detectors and modulators.
"Bookham New Focus has a strong tradition of innovation and quality," said Nadim Maluf, VP of marketing, Bookham New Focus.
"The introduction of these new products further broadens our offering of pioneering photonics products and, with the industry-leading lifetime and extended warranties, demonstrates our continued commitment to quality".
Included among the new products being featured are motorised translation stages with precision position control and tiny footprint, a line of low-noise, user-friendly receivers and detectors, a line of translation stages claiming exceptional stability and compact footprint, and single-frequency tunable lasers at new wavelengths for spectroscopy applications.
Also featured will be the recently launched Clarity line of fluorescence filters.
The filters mark the first transfer of the Bookham thin-film optical-filter technology from the telecommunications market into the life-sciences market.
The filters' superior contrast and exceptional reliability, backed by a five-year warranty, is said to be unmatched by the older technologies currently used by life sciences vendors.
