Automatically dispenses sterile diluent into the bag in precisely the correct volume to ensure consistency between samples, time after time
GT Bio announces the release of the new, advanced model of diluter from Interscience called Gravimat.
Used in microbiology labs to dilute samples of food or other material prior to mixing, the new Gravimat gravimetric dilutor hugely increases efficiency and accuracy while simplifying the whole process.
With the largest, simplified display of any system, users can simply place the solid material into the mixer bag and Gravimat does the rest. It automatically dispenses sterile diluent into the bag in precisely the correct volume to ensure consistency between samples, time after time.
Gravimat achieves this by automatically weighing the solid, calculating the volume of diluent needed and pumping the diluent (or diluents) from their containers.
Any diluting method used in labs can be stored and displayed directly in the display.
The Gravimat diluter is manufactured by Interscience and supplied by GT Bio in the UK together with Interscience's range of microbiological preparation equipment.
Ian Baldwin of GT Bio notes that "The Gravimat dilutor is definitely the simplest and quickest way to prepare solid samples for microbiological analysis.
"Users like the simplicity of the unit and the fact that it is completely automated and will dilute using any of the user's existing procedures which can be instantly recalled from memory."
