Aimed primarily at laboratories and research facilities, the machine joins the two portions of the filled capsule together
Isopak, a UK supplier of laboratory equipment, is launching what it describes as an exciting new machine into the UK market.
The BD3000 capsule bander, manufactured by Dott Bonapace, is a newly developed machine and comes with a host of impressive features. Fully automatic, it has an output of 3000 capsules per hour.
It is both compact and mobile, making it an ideal machine to use alongside the Dott Bonapace In-Cap bench top automatic capsule filling machine when fitted with the capsule liquid filling facility.
The versatile In-Cap has already proven a popular choice in the UK healthcare and pharmaceutical fields, says Isopak.
Aimed primarily at laboratories and research facilities, the BD3000 joins the two portions of the filled capsule together by placing the body and cap of the capsule in a sealing station, where a rotating roller applies the specially formulated sealing solution.
Accuracy is high on the list of the machine's key features.
The sealant is applied to the rotating capsule in exactly the right location at the junction of the body and the cap ensuring a perfectly tight seal.
And the accuracy of the seal is helped further by some capillary action which assists the absorption of the sealing solution.
The unit also contains a drying station, complete with 240 cavities to hold the sealed capsules vertically while they dry before they are automatically ejected.
An integral control panel shows the temperature of the sealing solution and features a regulating device to control the capsule rotation, which will vary for different size capsules, during the sealing operation.
All operations of the BD3000 are PLC-controlled and the machine is equipped with all the features necessary for ease of use and complete operator safety - including safety guards, electromechanical overload devices and an emergency stop safety button.
This is the latest development from Italian based Dott Bonapace, and is available exclusively through Isopak in the UK.
With over 50 years experience the Italian experts offer a range of equipment including capsule fillers and processors, bag filling, tablet presses and capping and labelling units.
Isopak managing director Robin Davies is delighted to be launching the BD3000 in the UK market and he is confident that it will prove a popular choice.
He says: "The BD3000 is a compact machine which is well designed and made to the highest industry standards.
"It is an ideal choice for those involved in small scale research work, laboratories, clinical trials or those working to produce herbal and alternative products - anyone in fact who want a well priced, high quality machine capable of giving excellent results every time."
