Flexible light guides provide 'benchmark' method for delivering targeted illumination for applications in microscopy, machine vision, image processing and display
Moritex, a specialist in lighting and optical technologies, has announced new additions to its comprehensive range of flexible light guides.
Constructed from a choice of multi-component glass, plastic or quartz fibres bundled in configurations including ring, straight, slit, multifurcated and plate types a high performance flexible light guide is available optimised to suit almost any application.
For applications in microscopy, machine vision, image processing and display, Moritex says its flexible light guides provide the international benchmark method for delivering targeted illumination.
Using these light guides in conjunction with Moritex's high performance light sources allows for noise and heat-free bright lighting.
Protected with flexible steel sheathing Moritex flexible light guides provide efficient, high throughput operation throughout the temperature range -40C to 180C (plastic to 80C).
For applications requiring off-axis or dark-field illumination, Moritex offers two variants of ring light guide, standard and vertical.
Bifurcated light guides allow one light source to provide two points of light, which is ideal for applications where two objects have to be illuminated or where an object requires oblique lighting.
Moritex multifurcated light guides provide three or four terminating fibre bundles.
These light guides allow one source to light an object from many angles or to simultaneously illuminate multiple objects with a single light source.
For customers with specialist lighting requirements Moritex offers a custom design service.
