Flexible beam delivery by single mode fibre can remove the impractical fixed alignment and complicated line-of-sight optics associated with UV laser instrumentation
Point Source has released the latest addition to its range of iFlex-2000 fibre-coupled lasers, a UV laser diode system at 370nm.
The iFlex-2000 delivers 1mW in a pure Gaussian Tem beam, from a singlemode polarisation-maintaining fibre.
Flexible beam delivery by single mode fibre can remove the impractical fixed alignment and complicated line-of-sight optics associated with UV laser instrumentation.
The laser is highly stable and reliable, while operating with extremely low noise.
The system offers the added advantage that the output power may be adjusted without compromising beam quality and optical noise.
Ideal for a variety of fluorescence based applications, the UV laser follows the success of Point Source's violet lasers which have been adopted in new laser scanning confocal microscopes and the latest flow cytometers.
The laser is also able to meet all of the necessary technical and commercial considerations of optical disc storage.
