Array system detects more genes, including those expressed at very low levels, with ten-fold increase in sensitivity, while using less sample than conventional fluorescent microarrays
Applied Biosystems has introduced a new initiative specifically for laboratories providing services in genetic analysis, which pulls together a complete gene expression analysis system, backed by Applied Biosystems's technical experience and promotional support.
The Advanced Gene Expression Service Provider programme bundles together Applied Biosystems's Expression Array system with optional companion products, including microarrays for human, mouse, and rat, TaqMan gene expression assays, and real-time PCR systems.
The Expression Array system, the platform for the programme, detects more genes, including those expressed at very low levels, with more than a ten-fold increase in sensitivity, while using less sample compared with conventional fluorescent microarrays, says Applied Biosystems.
The system uses a chemiluminescence-detection instrument, software and chemistries to deliver unambiguous and highly reproducible results.
Customers enrolling on this programme will have access to enhanced data analysis tools, including the Celera Discovery System online platform and Panther protein classification system, as well as promotional support from a service provider web link on the Applied Biosystems website, and on-site seminars to help them increase their business opportunities.
