Three 250ml flasks are securely held within the confines of the chemical synthesiser utilising this clamp, providing the user with a safe and easy system to heat or cool flask contents
DrySyn Multi three-position clamps are the latest addition to the DrySyn range of products.
These are said to be the first low cost three position clamps with compact dimensions, specifically designed by chemists, for chemists.
Their distinct versatility is accompanied by sound aluminium and stainless steel construction, says Asynt.
Compatible with existing boss heads and fitting any standard retort rod, the DrySyn Multi three-position clamps are fully adjustable.
Their compact size allows excellent flexibility and means that they can be utilised not only with the DrySyn Multi-units but also reaction flasks in dry ice baths, with separating funnels, flash columns, SPE cartridges, etc.
Asynt says its focus on safety and simple usability is apparent with the launch of these new clamps.
Every aspect and detail of the units has been designed to benefit the chemist, from the so-called speed grip design, allowing rapid clamping, to the increased versatility and ability to fit a multitude of flask sizes.
The clamps provide the user with a safe and easy system to heat or cool flask contents.
They allow the rapid and safe removal from a heat source from the reaction if required, in addition to use in non-heating applications especially where only stirring is needed.
A further advantage lies with the easy accessibility and clear visibility for trouble free working particularly when combined with the DrySyn Multi synthesisers.
Whether used alone or in conjunction with the existing DrySyn Multi units, these clamps are a welcome addition to any laboratory says the company.
Asynt specialises in providing technologies for the chemical synthesis sector.
Formed in July 2003, the company has grown rapidly and says it now has a well established international customer base in both the research and biopharmaceutical sectors.
Asynt says its mission is to provide a fresh outlook in chemistry technologies by combining in-depth scientific and technical expertise, and will continue to develop and introduce other new and exciting products throughout 2005 and into 2006.
This has already resulted in a wide range of products for medicinal chemistry and parallel synthesis (J-Kem personal synthesiser, DrySyn Multi reaction block, Omni reaction station, Africa flow reactors) custom synthesis and building blocks (PharmaCore) and chromatography (Analogix/Interchim columns).
Safe hydrogenation technology from Thales Nanotechnology (H-Cube), as well as Heidolph, Julabo, Vacuubrand, custom glass, and custom PTFE ware.
The DrySyn range has been granted European Design Rights and US patents have been applied for.
