Nikon is offering a motorised accessory for its Eclipse 80i microscope.
The attachment makes it easier to capture fluorescence images.
According to the Nikon, feedback from customers involved in biological research inspired it to develop a simple motorised Epi-fluoresecence system for the Eclipse 80i.
This latest extension in the range of Epi-fluorescence accessories for the 80i is now available at an affordable price, without compromising manual options or choice of digital imaging heads, says the company.
The Epi-fluorescence attachment features a motorised shutter, filter turret and six position DIC nose-piece.
The new accessory also incorporates the functionality of the manual Epi-Fluorescence attachment.
A dedicated remote-control unit provides easy management of the motorised components and incorporates clockwise and counter-clockwise switches for rotation of the Epi-fluorescence filter turret and nose-piece, as well as a simple shutter switch.
The LED indicator (1-6) indicates which filter cube is in the optical path.
The buttons also light up so that they can be easily recognised in a dark room.
The brightness of LED indicators and buttons also can be adjusted.
