Janet(UK) has announced the appointment of Roger McClure to be its chair from 1 August 2008 when the current incumbent, Professor Geoff Peters, steps down
Roger McClure has recently retired from the post of chief executive of the Scottish Funding Council to take on a portfolio of board level responsibilities.
An alumnus of Cambridge University, he brings with him a rich understanding of research and the diverse educational landscape of the UK.
His informed knowledge of the stakeholder community, whether they are institutions, funding councils or government, provides him with a unique insight into the needs and challenges of this important sector.
