Labcaire's new recirculating vertical laminar flow cabinets extend its existing range and promise to protect both samples and users; three sizes are avialable
For laboratory peace of mind, Labcaire has launched a new line of laminar flow cabinets to offer greater customer choice.
The new recirculating vertical laminar flow cabinets extend Labcaire's popular laminar flow range by offering protection to users as well as samples.
The laminar flow system protects samples to BS 5295 standards, while integrated ductless air technology achieves BS EN 12469:2000 levels of operator protection.
The laminar airflow design ensures the work surface is bathed in better than Class 100 clean air for efficient sample handling and preparation.
Rather than exhausting potentially contaminated air back to the environment, any airborne pathogens or particulates are trapped by high efficiency HEPA filters for containment within the cabinet to protect the user.
There are three standard sizes available, including a compact 800mm wide unit, a standard 1200mm unit and a large capacity 1800mm unit. Each one is easy to install, as no connections to external services, other than a standard 13amp electrical socket, are necessary.
The new cabinet is ideal for all sample preparation and tissue culture applications that demand product protection and airborne hazard containment where full Microbiological Class II protection may be regarded as excessive.
A robust steel construction helps withstand rigorous use, while a large workspace generates greater working access.
Other features include variable speed fans, low airflow warning indicators, and easy change pre-filters.
Optional extras, such as electrical sockets, gas points and water outlets, can be included by Labcaire on request.
